A new message from Lee just right on time for the end of the summer…

Hay Everybody!

We are proud to announce the release of a digital 4 track live ep “audio snapshot” recorded last month by Kai Fiefstück at the Maria’s Ballroom show here in Hamburg. We will be giving the live ep away for a short time so download it soon. There are also some old posters, reviews and other propaganda from the late 1980′s that were recovered on a recent trip to Atlanta as well as some new concert dates all for your perusal, enjoyment and information. I hope y’all have as much fun listening to the tracks as we did playing them…
cheers,

Lee

Along with a return engagement to the lovely Maria’s Ballroom in Hamburg Harburg on Saturday the 18th of July
poster-self-druck
we are proud to announce that we have two new excellent bass players on board:
the talented young Hungarian Akos Bölcz who will be on stage with us in Harburg on the 18th July (here with drummer Manuel)
Akos + Manuel IMG_7237
and the mighty Maja Kim will be joining us on bass when she is not providing the bottom end for her Lys Lys project, Alphaville, Carsten Pape or Terri Anker (here as well with drummer Manuel). We are very pleased to have both of them playing with us! Maja Kim and Manuel Beutke

Second Guitarist & Rhythm Section Changes

  • · News
We are happy to announce that after a long search we have added Cord Rehren to the line-up who will be replacing Julius Ramge as our second guitarist. Cord is best known as the owner of Hamburgs finest vintage record store Slam Records and thereby has been involved for decades in shaping the Hamburg music scene… to paraphrase Ziggy Stardust: …and boy can he play guitar!
Julius of course remains with us as Lee’s trusted guitar tech a job he has had since 2009.
Due to scheduling conflicts Marc Balance and David Mautz will be giving their last performance as the main rhythm section on the 19th of March in Bremen. Marc will continue as a substitute or “sub” bassist and David will continue to support the project as a multi-instrumentalist but sadly their tenure as rhythm section par-excellence will soon come to a close.
The good news is that drummer Manuel Beutke and bassist Hubert Steiner have joined up and made their spectacular debut as the new main rhythm section this past week (march 5th) in Bergedorf…. (see fan-snapshot!)
IMG_4183

Manuel Beutke is best known for his work with high energy punk band The Detectors and teaches drumming in Hamburg.

Hubert Steiner is a bassist/guitarist from Munich who is known for his Carpetband and Instrument projects and he also provides 4 string support for Thees Uhlmann…
We will continue to audition drummers and bassist’s for the 4 “sub” positions we have open….
